Dear athletes and triathlon friends,
Our pre-Christmas Action is over, and all 200 individual start places for the 12th Challenge Roth have changed hands. At precisely 12 noon, the application lists had been opened once again for our charity action, and only a few minutes later all tickets were booked up! Congratulations to all Challenge fans who were lucky enough to get hold of one of the very last start places for the 12th Challenge Roth on July 14, 2013!
At the same time we would like to express our sincere thanks, because for each ticket EUR 50 will be donated to people who desperately need the money, and so we can bring them a little bit of Christmas joy. As in the past few years, we are again going to support UNICEF and Freundeskreis Nürnberg, an organization that assists drug addicts.
Help for children in need
In addition, we will also support further organizations, and would like to introduce one of the projects shortly: Part of the money will be donated to three deaf children who live at the Regens-Wagner Home for hearing-impaired children and adults in Zell near Hilpoltstein. These three children have met a miserable fate, and cannot return to their families for certain reasons, or are no longer in contact with their families. While other children of the institution go home for holidays, the three of them can’t. So we would like to make it possible for the children to have a nice summer holiday with their care workers in accommodation facilities that meet their needs. Part of the receipts of our pre-Christmas Action will be donated so as to pay for the first holiday in their lives.
