23,000 Euro for the good cause
Triathletes donate to the Challenge Christmas Charity
The TEAMCHALLENGE Christmas charity was a complete success. 824 athletes from 35 nations donated a total of 21,570 euros. As a partner of DATEV Challenge Roth, Powerbar rounded up the sum to 23,000 euros.
100% of the proceeds for a good cause
The entire amount raised will be used for a good cause. 5000 euros will go to the "Christmas together" project of the "Füreinander" association. This will be fully financed. In this project, a Christmas party is organized on Christmas Eve in Roth for people from the district who cannot afford a nice evening, who do not want to be alone at Christmas or who simply want to celebrate together with other people. The party will be extended this year and will take place on Christmas Eve in Roth, Büchenbach, Thalmässing and Schwanstetten, making it even easier for people with limited mobility to take part.
TEAMCHALLENGE Managing Director Kathrin Walchshöfer-Helneder is grateful for the high level of donations: "The triathletes have once again shown their big hearts. Thanks to the large sum, we are able to support a second project. We would like to donate 18,000 euros to the Ukrainian charity of Roth citizen Eric Jürgensen. With these funds, we can do something good for orphans and senior citizens in Ukraine, which is very close to my heart. Thanks also to Powerbar, who are also supporting us with the Christmas charity."
15 start slots for 2024
At the Christmas Charity, athletes were able to buy raffle tickets to get one of the last 15 starting places for DATEV Challenge Roth on July 7, 2024. Tickets could be purchased for 10 euros. Athletes did not have to pay an additional registration fee if they won a starting place.
