BR Television broadcasts Challenge live from start to finish
Follow the race from the comfort of your home
Good news from Munich: BR Fernsehen has expanded its live reporting of DATEV Challenge Roth powered by hep on 5 September and will now start broadcasting from the start of the swim. The Bavarian broadcaster will show the legendary Roth triathlon live from 6.45am and until around 4.00pm. All Challenge fans can watch the race from start to finish without missing a thing.
With the extension of the broadcast times (originally the broadcast was only planned from 10.00am), BR Fernsehen is happy to provide coverage to the already large audience interest in the Roth triathlon, and the audience will increase still more once the pro field is announced. The broadcaster makes it easy to watch the competition from the comfort of your home instead of on site. Due to the COVID pandemic, all Challenge fans are encouraged not to line the race course and to enjoy extensive TV coverage instead. BR has made this very easy this year: It delivers the live experience from start to finish right into the living room.
Challenge will also be broadcast live in full online and can be seen at www.sportschau.de, www.BR24Sport.de and, of course, www.challenge-roth.com. There is also an English live stream for international viewers, with commentary by Roth legend Belinda Granger and Dylan McNeice.
In addition, the ARD sports show (from 6.30pm) and the ZDF sports studio report (from 5.10pm) bring summaries of the race on Sunday evening, plus Sky will show a detailed report on DATEV Challenge Roth powered by hep.
The race will take place on 5 September with race start at 7.00am and will feature an extensive hygiene concept. The so-called "three G rule" (vaccinated, recovered, tested). FFP2 / KN95 mask requirements and social distancing apply over the entire event site.
