The triathlon district of Roth shows once again that triathlon is at home here. DATEV Challenge Roth was named the best race of the year for the 13th time in a row at the prestigious “sailfish Night of the Year” on November 30, 2024 in Langen near Frankfurt. This exceptional series underlines the event's undisputed leading position in the triathlon world.
Clear success in the vote
With an overwhelming 60.3 percent of the votes, DATEV Challenge Roth won the online vote by the expert readers of triathlon magazine. The prestigious Ironman Men's World Championship in Hawaii and the Ironman Frankfurt took second and third place respectively.
Thanks to the entire Roth community
Kathrin Walchshöfer-Helneder from TEAMCHALLENGE accepted the award on behalf of the entire triathlon community: “An award like this can never be taken for granted. The 13th Triathlon Award in a row is rather proof of the incredible team spirit that characterizes DATEV Challenge Roth. This year in particular, with Jonas Deichmann's spectacular 120 triathlon long distances in a row, the district of Roth has once again shown itself from its very best side. We would like to thank everyone who voted for us, our 7,500 volunteers, the volunteers, partners, communities in the district of Roth and, of course, the athletes and their supporters. Without this unique teamwork, this success would not be possible.”
The next DATEV Challenge Roth will take place on July 6, 2025. Participants from over 100 nations will then once again experience the unique atmosphere and legendary support along the course.
