New regulations on cancellation and entry fees for DATEV Challenge Roth powered by hep 2024
More Service and Less Risk for Athletes
New regulations on cancellation and entry fees for DATEV Challenge Roth powered by hep 2024 / All-round risk-free package to be included in the entry price
An increase of 116% in event technology, 55% more expenses for electricity infrastructure and even a surcharge of 148% for water infrastructure. The wave of inflation is hitting us hard too, especially after the three loss-making Covid years.
That's why we've been racking our brains for some time on how to meet this economic challenge in an appropriate way. Of course, we know rising costs in everyday and professional life also greatly affect you, which is why we have not increased the entry fee for DATEV Challenge Roth powered by hep 2023 despite massive cost increases. However, due to the continuing high prices in almost all areas, we are forced to react for the 2024 race - but in the way you are used to from us: fair and transparent.
Quality Always First
For us it is always clear: Roth must remain Roth and we don't want to save money on any measures that could affect the quality of the race and diminish the experience for our athletes, fans or volunteers. At the same time, we don't want to simply increase the entry fee without providing additional services for you, which is why we have found an approach that offers you significant additional services.
Entry Protection Plan for Everyone
For DATEV Challenge Roth powered by hep 2024 and all future years the following applies:
The popular Entry Protection Plan is included in the entry fee for all participants. This means you can cancel your registration up to one day before the race without giving any reason. In this case, you will receive a pro-rata refund of your entry fee and a guaranteed entry for the following year.
This way you can be sure to experience the dream of Roth. The Entry Protection Plan was previously available for 79 euros and was understandably popular with athletes.
Entry Fee Remains the Same for the Majority
More than 80% of all participants book the popular Entry Protection Plan each year when registering. Therefore, the entry fee for the vast majority of you remains almost unchanged at 679 euros (relay 785 euros). If you register at the traditional Christmas fundraising event, an additional 50 euros on your entry fee will go to a good cause.
Staggered Periods for Cancellations
There is one change for a possible withdrawal from the race. The previous flat-rate processing fee of 90 euros will no longer apply. Instead, there will be staggered cancellation periods. For us as organisers, the closer the big day gets, the more costs increase. For example, we order your medals early, coordinate the complex logistics or prepare everything for the transition areas.
Experience shows a lot can happen during the year. The earlier you have to cancel your race, the more money you will get back:
- If you cancel by 1 December 2023: 90% of the entry fee will be returned to you.
- If you cancel your registration by 1 March 2024: 80%.
- If you cancel by 1 June 2024: 70%.
- If you cancel your registration by 6 July 2024 (one day before the race): 60%.
Of course, we hope to see you on the start line in peak fitness. However, if something unforeseen happens during the year, you can be sure that you won't lose your starting place thanks to the new regulations, so you can be sure to fulfil your dream of Roth!
See you at the finish line!
