Premium brand Sennheiser becomes headphone partner of DATEV Challenge Roth
Innovative technology offers new possibilities for pulse and temperature monitoring during training
The audio brand Sennheiser is launching a new commitment to triathlon and will be the headphone partner of the world's largest long-distance triathlon. Among other things, the Sennheiser brand will present its latest products at the Triathlon Expo in Roth. These include the MOMENTUM Sport earbuds, which combine pulse-pounding sound with in-ear training monitoring and will be released on 9 April, 2024.
"Challenge Roth is one of the biggest global sporting events in triathlon, a sport where accurate fitness tracking is very important," says Paul Hughes, Sennheiser Director, PR, Influencers & Partnerships. "We are therefore very much looking forward to working together and exhibiting at the Triathlon Expo - together we want to help athletes and sports enthusiasts from all over the world perform at their best with optimal sound and precise tracking data.”
“We are very proud to have Sennheiser as a partner for triathlon and DATEV Challenge Roth, a global market leader in the audio sector that stands for absolutely cutting-edge technologies. The brand stands for high-end quality and is therefore very well suited to our sport. Triathletes with an affinity for technology in particular can look forward to new possibilities for monitoring their training,” says race director Felix Walchshöfer.
Ideal training companion – vital data directly from the ear
On 9 April, the Sennheiser brand is releasing a new pair of earbuds for top performance in training and individual rhythm, which, in addition to unmatched sound, offers completely new features for sports enthusiasts. With the new MOMENTUM Sport, triathletes can monitor their heart rate directly and precisely at the ear, removing the need for chest straps and heart rate sensors on the wrist. The sensors are integrated into the earbuds and are compatible with the most common sports watches and platforms via Bluetooth. When used with certain Polar sports watches or the Polar Flow app, the Momentum Sport also enables body temperature to be tracked via the ear.
Sennheiser becomes part of the world's largest triathlon expo
The Sennheiser brand will be exhibiting at the Triathlon Expo in Roth from 4 to 7 July. Athletes can test the new sports earbuds and other premium products in the Triathlon Park.
Win premium headphones at the Volunteer Party
There is also good news for all volunteers: Sennheiser is providing premium headphones as a prize for the traditional raffle at the Volunteers' Party on the Monday after the race.
Best sound through a Spotify playlist
To get you in the right mood for the big race on 7 July, TEAMCHALLENGE, as the organiser of DATEV Challenge Roth, is offering a Spotify playlist with the most memorable sounds from race day.
Every year, thousands of triathletes fulfil their dream of finishing in Roth. 3,500 individual starters, countless supporters along the course and 7500 volunteers ensure goosebump moments on race day. The sports festival in the triathlon stronghold has been home to triathletes from all over the world since 1984.
