The legend will return
Nobody wants to miss that race on 25 June! 12 years after her still existing world record, Chrissie Wellington will return to Roth! We are honoured that the legend will join you and us at the triathlon race of the year🎉🎉
She will be there for you in the weekend of the race, hanging medals at the finish line party, being part of the live stream and having a good time together with all triathlon fans in Roth.
Chrissie will be there for you during the race weekend and will, for example, hang medals at the finish line and accompany the race as an expert in the livestream. She's coming back to Roth to "meet as many pros and age groupers as possible." For Chrissie, "there is no better race in the world than Challenge Roth. It's the race where the magic happened in my career" she enthused in a video message.
Chrissie Wellington set the world's best time in Roth on July 10, 2011, with 8:18.13h over 3.8km swim, 180km bike and 42.2km run. This is still valid. She was unbeaten in long distance triathlon until her career ended in 2012. She won Challenge Roth three times in a row in 2009, 2010 and 2011 - always in world best time.
Listen what Chrissie has to say in the video.
