Tom Bishop returns
British triathlete Tom Bishop will compete in the legendary DATEV Challenge Roth again this year. After his impressive second place last year, Bishop is returning with the clear aim of putting in another top performance - and perhaps even taking the win.
One of the big surprise athletes in 2024
In 2024, Bishop caused a stir with an outstanding performance when he was only beaten by the winner and record holder Magnus Ditlev. He crossed the finish line at Roth Triathlon Park after 7:37:54 hours.
‘Target the win’
Tom Bishop is also aiming for a top finish in 2025: "I'm really excited about Roth this year. It was such a fantastic race experience last year, I've never felt such energy from a crowd all day long. Last year I finished second, one of the best races of my career. This year I'm hoping to make the next step and target the win. It will take something special with the quality of field that always turns up at Roth, but I've seen what it takes to win and hopefully I can rise to the occasion."
DATEV Challenge Roth is one of the most prestigious long-distance triathlons in the world. Year after year, it attracts both top athletes and thousands of enthusiastic spectators who cheer along the course.
After Jan Stratmann, Tom Bishop is the second professional that TEAMCHALLENGE has announced for the race. With Bishop's renewed participation, the excitement for the race continues to grow. Will he be at the top of the podium this year? The answer will be revealed on race day in Roth!
