Roth. Triathlon in Roth remains the benchmark of long-distance triathlon. At the prestigious "sailfish Night of the Year" on 2 December in Langen near Frankfurt, DATEV Challenge Roth was awarded the coveted Triathlon Award for Best Race of the Year for the 12th time in a row.
An impressive 68.5 per cent of readers of the renowned triathlon magazine voted for DATEV Challenge Roth in the online poll as the best triathlon over the 3.8km swim, 180km bike and 42.2km run distance. Second and third place went to Ironman Hawaii and Ironman Frankfurt.
Race director, Felix Walchshöfer, was overjoyed to receive the triathlon award. "Winning the Race of the Year award again is a joint success. We would like to thank everyone who voted for DATEV Challenge Roth. This success would not have been possible without the support of our 7,500 volunteers, the entire support team, our partners, the towns and communities of the Roth region and all the athletes and their supporters. A big thank you to everyone who has contributed to the success of this event and brought the award to Roth for the twelfth time!"
