‘It’s all about bringing people together’: Vibrant festival market for all generations
Free ninja obstacle course / Food court round-up with live programme and activities / Open to everybody
Roth is one attraction richer. With an unprecedented Festival Market, TEAMCHALLENGE wants to bring people in the area together, regardless of whether they are triathlon fans or not. From 4 to 7 July, highlights such as a ninja obstacle course, food trucks and live music will provide entertainment for all age groups at the festival site in Roth.
Separate kids area with TV ninja obstacle course
On a 40 metre long ninja obstacle course, all children from the age of six are invited to let off steam by hanging, climbing and swinging. The course contains original elements from the well-known German TV show and is provided free of charge for all kids by TEAMCHALLENGE. Timekeeping with a real buzzer provides additional excitement, just like the TV show. With a bouncy castle and other activities especially for children and toddlers, there will also be four days of action in the centre of Roth away from the triathlon.
Entry to the Festival Market completely free of charge
As a mother of two, Kathrin Walchshöfer-Helneder wants to put together a vibrant programme for all families: ‘The Festival Market is not only intended for our athletes and their families, but for everyone from the district of Roth and the surrounding area. With the free Festival Market, we want to give them something back for supporting the triathlon in Roth for 40 years. We cordially invite all sports enthusiasts, but especially all non-triathlon fans who have never been here before, to come and have a look around and connect with the triathlon.’
Varied food court round-up
When hunger strikes during your visit to the Festival Market or any of the events surrounding DATEV Challenge Roth, various food trucks with a wide range of dishes such as bowls, crêpes or specialities from Keepers & Cooks will be available for visitors from Thursday to Sunday.
TEAMCHALLENGE is currently working with its partners on a detailed schedule for the market and other highlights for visitors.
Festival feeling for everyone
The Festival Market will have a completely different look to the rest of the Triathlon Park. In a relaxed summer atmosphere, guests can take a short break from the hustle and bustle of the race week and everyday life with a delicious ice cream, for example.
A festival market like this as an additional attraction to the Triathlon Expo and the varied supporting programme is unique worldwide and adds another level to the appeal of the event.
The area is intended to be a meeting point for all age groups. It is located in the eastern part of the Triathlon Park, directly adjacent to the stadium and the world's largest triathlon expo. In addition to the Festival Market, events such as the Challenge-for-All, the Night Run and Bambini Run will of course feature in the many activities surrounding the world's biggest long-distance triathlon.
