New world record in Roth
There has never been such an endurance achievement. Now it's official: Jonas Deichmann has completed his 106th long-distance triathlon on 106 consecutive days on the DATEV Challenge Roth course since May 9th. It is a new world record! With his success, Jonas overtakes Britain's Sean Conway, who held the previous record with 105 consecutive long distances of 3.8 km swimming, 180 km cycling and 42 km running.
We are incredibly proud of Jonas. Of course, of the achievement itself, but also of how he manages to inspire and motivate the entire population. We are grateful every day anew that Jonas chose Roth for this project and that he brings the local people along with his friendly manner and brings society together.
And yet this record is still just an interim goal and Jonas is not finished yet: Jonas wants to complete a long-distance triathlon every day until September 5, 2024. He is collecting donations for a good cause. You can support him and donate to the Roth children's and youth fire departments and Laureus Sport for Good.
